BIOCERAMIC is a composite material developed by the Swatch Group. According to the official description, it consists of two main components: ceramic powder and a bio‑based polymer (resin). The material is processed through injection molding.

As a result, unlike pure ceramic, it is not:

• cold to the touch,

• high‑gloss,

• or glass‑like in texture.

Instead, it feels warmer and more smooth, much closer to engineering plastics.

In addition, while traditional ceramics are relatively brittle and heavier, BIOCERAMIC is more impact‑resistant and significantly lighter in weight, making it less prone to shattering.
